Special features
Watch me
‘Watch Me’ is a very useful feature. It allows the lone worker to pre-book a phone call from the system which is timed to arrive shortly after an appointment has begun. This feature is used in any situation where the lone worker feels apprehensive about entering a property, perhaps for the first time. The pre-booked call gives the lone worker a reason to end the appointment immediately if they feel uncomfortable. Naturally if the ‘Watch Me’ call is unanswered by the lone worker, an alarm is raised and ‘Responders’ are alerted immediately.
Live call recording
“Ambient” live recording has now been incorporated into LookOut call’s functionality, allowing lone workers to make live recordings whenever they raise an emergency alarm. Live recordings may be used by Responders to assess the situation and can also be used as evidence in court. Responders can also have a live conversation with the lone worker to better ascertain the situation and decide what action to take.
Text broadcasting
LookOut call may be used to send selected lone workers text broadcast messages – a useful feature for those lone workers that often forget to log onto the system at the start of the working day. Text broadcasting could also be used to remind alert different staff groups of team briefings.
Instant location updates
For lone workers who frequently change location while accompanying a particular client, LookOut call may be set to receive discreet location updates throughout duration of the appointment.
GPS satellite tracking
While not every lone worker requires GPS satellite tracking facilities, many “higher-risk” lone working groups, such as those who are constantly changing locations in urban areas or those who work in isolated locations, find GPS satellite tracking a very useful security feature.
Here at C3 we are currently developing our own unique GPS satellite tracking solution to compliment our standard lone worker safety system. It is a small, unobtrusive device that can be attached to a belt, hidden in a van or fixed to a trailer.
In the event of an emergency situation, our GPS solution will quickly determine the exact location of a lone worker and provide back-up staff with accurate map and grid references, so that appropriate assistance and support can be provided.
At LookOut call we appreciate that lone worker privacy is paramount in a non-emergency situation and for this very reason, our GPS applications will only be activated if an alarm is raised, either by the lone worker pressing the panic button or by the lone worker failing update the system at the end of a timed activity.
LookOut call is also compatible with GPS enabled phones. If you would like to find out more about this please complete the contact form.
